Speech, Language & Communication Difficulties

Identifying Strengths & Weaknesses

We work closely with speech and language therapists, teachers and assistive technologists to identify underlying strengths and weaknesses associated with speech, language and communication difficulties. For many children such difficulties mean there is a temporary but significant delay in their progress, and so many other skills and activities rely upon effective communication that there are consequences for the child's development. It is fortunate that most children who have had difficulties, perhaps with therapeutic and teaching support, are soon able to function as well as their peers. What is most important is that the profile of strengths and weaknesses is carefully assessed and identified so intervention is well directed.
